WHAT IS ALPHA
Alpha is a series of dinner conversations designed for those who would not identify as Christians and are interested in exploring life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. If you’re an atheist, skeptic or just curious, bring your thoughts to the discussion group and explore questions around faith, life, and meaning with new friends.
HOW IT WORKS
7:00-7:15PM MINGLING AND REFRESHMENTS
Join us for drinks, light snacks, and dessert
7:15-7:35PM WELCOME AND LIVE TALK
Each evening features a live talk designed to inspire more questions than provide answers. These sessions explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and What is Prayer?
7:40 - 8:25PM* DISCUSSION
After the talk, we’ll break into discussion with our own small groups where you can share your thoughts about faith and life and hear from others in your group. You can say as much or as little as you like, it's up to you.
*We observe a hard stop at 8:25 to respect your time each week.
8:30 - 9:30PM ALPHA PUB
Anyone who wants to continue hanging out together is welcome to stay and have a drink.
WHEN IS IT
The Alpha course runs every Tuesday night for 8 weeks covering different topics and ideas, and includes a day away in Central Oregon.
